At El Tipico, the food effortlessly echoes the spirit of the setting. The balance of bright, spicy, and savory moments reveals itself gently, offering a taste that feels as genuine as the people serving it.

What stands out most is the thoughtful layering of ingredients—mole sauces rich with tradition, homemade hot sauces that carry a fiery kick, and fresh vegetables mingling with tender meats and seafood. Each plate holds a story of careful preparation and a connection to Mexican culinary roots, yet adapted to a welcoming, neighborhood setting.

Dining at El Tipico is about more than just food; it’s about soaking in a mood where authenticity is quietly celebrated and simple pleasures—good company, honest flavors, and warm smiles—are given their rightful place. Outstanding authentic Mexican. The mole sauce was the best I have had. Homemade hot sauce was blistering and delicious.

Really great dining experience today. The food was great and everything was reasonably priced. I highly recommend the chicken fajitas.

Good food. Nice ambiance. Only one person was working up front as server and hostess that afternoon so she became busy towards 4pm but she was friendly and did her best to be attentive.

Love this place! Food was amazing and so reasonably priced, wait staff was friendly and professional. I enjoyed the flautas and my boyfriend got a burrito we were very happy, will be back again soon.

Shocked that the restaurant was empty while they are doing $2 certain tacos on Thursdays. Small authentic Mexican street style tacos for a good price.

Atmosphere is great, too, but gave it 3 stars bc it's just low key and basic. But super clean with great music at a great decibel level. Very friendly staff. The killer is the food though: "authentic" fare done to perfection at incredible value pricing. $2 taco Thursday let's you mix and match and really should be $3 or $2.50 a taco and would still be an amazing deal. This place is awesome!
